The FY18 annual inventory campaign has started and includes all 25,371 Laboratory assets totaling over $1 billion dollars in acquisition value. Periodic wall-to-wall inventories are required under the Lab’s prime contract to account for all property purchased with DOE and other sponsor funds. The Lab’s policies for attending and hosting events, and working meals, have been updated into one comprehensive policy. Employees involved with event activities at the Lab or offsite are responsible for complying with the Events and Meals policy. Go here for more information. Linda Griffin, an OCFO employee matrixed to the ALS Business Management team, will be cheering on her daughter Kelly as she competes for the U.S. Women’s Rugby Sevens team. Sevens is a faster, shorter form of rugby. This is the first time any form of rugby has been included in the Olympic Games since 1924. The competition will be held Aug. 6-8. A cross-Operations team including Facilities, EH&S, IT, OCFO and Protective Services has been working on El Niño storm preparations, conducting planning and assessments and mitigating issues to better prepare the Lab to prevent and respond to potential impacts from heavy storms.
