The Pit will be closed Saturday, April 14, through Sunday, April 15, to remove soil from the IGB project and wash the lot. The goal is to complete all work by Sunday and reopen the lot on Monday, April 16. However, there may be some parking impacts if work is not fully completed. Starting Jan. 25 to 26, and continuing through mid-March, approximately 12 parking spots in front of Building 62A will be closed for construction access. The portion of Chu Road from Blackberry Gate to the Bldg. 65 driveway will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., for equipment installation at Shyh Wang Hall (Bldg. 59). Only Bldg. 88 occupants may use Blackberry Gate to access Bldg. 88, and Bldg. 88 cannot be approached from uphill. All other Lab employees should use Strawberry Gate. To accommodate Old Town demolition activities, the roadway through parking lot N will be reduced to one-way, uphill-traffic only from Segre to R Roads. The Hearst Avenue Complete Streets Project will result in the closure of westbound Hearst Avenue from Euclid Avenue to Le Conte Avenue, beginning Monday, Oct. 2, and continuing through Friday, Oct. 6. Additional construction work is planned through Oct. 20 affecting different sections of westbound Hearst Avenue. During this period, Lab shuttles in the downhill direction will experience delays that may exceed 10 minutes.
