Berkeley Lab Employee Photo Contest: Enter Photos Taken at the Lab in the Past Year

Berkeley Lab employees, affiliates, contractors, and those who conduct research at Berkeley Lab are invited to participate in an employee photo competition. Individuals can submit up to five photographs, and the deadline for entries is Monday, June 4, 2018. This competition is separate and distinct from a Lab Physics Photo Walk and photo competition planned on Wednesday, May 16.
 
Rules:

  • The photos must have been taken during the past year, from June 4, 2017, to June 3, 2018.
  • The photos must have been taken on the Lab grounds or otherwise must feature the Lab in some way (for example: a photo featuring Lab buildings but taken offsite).
  • Email up to five photo entries to: labphotos@lbl.gov.
  • Use the subject line: “Berkeley Lab Employee Photo Competition.”
  • Files should be attached to the email in .JPG format.
  • The individual file sizes cannot exceed 5 megabytes.
  • Attach all of your submitted photos to a single email message.
  • You can include the photo title/file name and/or caption information (such as date) for each entry in the body of the email:

Judging

A panel of judges selected by Berkeley Lab Strategic Communications will pick the top 10 photos, and the three winning photos from this group of 10. The top 10 photos will also be displayed online for voting in a separate “people’s choice” competition, and the top three winners of this people’s choice competition will also be announced. Prints of these 10 finalist photos will also be displayed at the Lab after the competition.

The 10 photos will be announced on Monday, June 25, and the top three judged selections and top three people’s choice selections will be announced on Monday, July 9.
