Air Quality and Fire Danger Alerts

Dear Lab Community,

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has issued an air quality advisory through Friday, Nov. 9, due to wildfire smoke from the Camp Fire in Butte County, CA. Visit the BAAQMD website for health guidance and more information. Go here for real-time air quality readings.

In addition, the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the East Bay Hills, North Bay Mountains, and Santa Cruz Mountains through Friday, Nov. 9, at 7 a.m. This Red Flag Warning means there is an elevated potential for rapid fire spread in specified areas and increased risk of heat-related illnesses. Additional fire safety precautions are warranted.
