Talk on Legacy of the 2018 Nobel Prize in Physics This Friday

Félicie Albert from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory will give a talk at 11 a.m. this Friday, Nov. 2, in the Building 50 Auditorium on chirped pulsed amplification, the discovery of which garnered Donna Strickland and Gerard Mourou the 2018 Nobel Prize in physics. This seminar will discuss the history and current status of such lasers, and present notable applications, especially in the field of laser-plasma accelerators.
