New Packard Fellow Leverages Time Crystals to Improve Quantum Measurement

Berkeley Lab materials scientist and UC Berkeley professor Norman Yao has received a Packard Fellowship, which “allows the nation’s most promising professors to pursue science and engineering research early in their careers with few funding restrictions and limited reporting requirements.” Yao was recognized for his theoretical, numerical and experimental work to “investigate new phenomena in systems that are far from thermal equilibrium.” More>
