Message From Deputy Lab Director Michael Brandt on Personnel Accountability Drill

Berkeley Lab Community,

On Monday, May 7, the Department of Energy is conducting their annual Eagle Horizon continuity drill, which is part of the National Continuity policy. Berkeley Lab’s Emergency Management Department will support this drill by requesting personnel accountability of all Lab personnel. It is expected that all Lab personnel respond to this message.

On Monday morning, all Lab employees, affiliates, and contractors will receive a text message, phone call, and email via LabAlert asking them to respond with their location. An example of the LabAlert messages that will be sent Monday, as well as additional guidance on personnel accountability can be found at status.lbl.gov.

Personnel accountability is performed to enable expedient and efficient search and rescue efforts, and to establish the whereabouts of mission critical personnel for the continued operation of essential Lab functions.

The best way to receive LabAlert messages is by cell phone. If you have not already registered your cell phone, please do so at go.lbl.gov/labalert.

Please note this drill is not related to strike activities. If you have questions about the drill, please contact [email protected]

Thank you in advance for your support and participation.

Regards,

Michael
