Flying Kites in the Arctic Circle

This summer, scientists from several DOE national laboratories, including Berkeley Lab, converged on the Barrow Environmental Observatory, 330 miles north of the Arctic Circle to conduct research on a project called the Next-Generation Ecosystem Experiment (NGEE-Arctic). The project seeks to improve climate model predictions through an advanced understanding of integrated processes in Arctic terrestrial ecosystems, like this one in Alaska. More>
