Colleagues Gather to Remember Morrissey; Memorial Scheduled for April 28

Dozens of colleagues from the Environmental Energy Technologies Division gathered together yesterday to remember the life of co-worker Elmer Morrissey, who was lost at sea after a boating accident on Saturday. They shared warm recollections of Morrissey, as well as two of his favorite treats: mango and brownies. He was a member of the Ukulele Club and his fellow musicians performed some of the Irish tunes he previously taught them, including “My Wild Irish Rose,” featured in the video below. A memorial service will be held for Morrissey on Saturday, April 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Berkeley, located at 2005 Berryman Street.
