In Memoriam: Carol Bruzzone (1945-2012)

Carol Bruzzone, a retired administrator who worked with the Facilities Division and the Joint Genome Institute, passed away on March 3. She was 67 years old. Bruzzone started at the Lab in 1971 and retired in 2007. “Carol was a very vivacious and funny woman who could make anyone smile,” recalled former colleague Laurie Westphal of EH&S.

    I worked with Carol in Facilities in the 90’s as well. She was a great help to me, always a positive attitude and a pleasure to work with. I’m going to miss her.

    Carol was the nicest person to work with. When I worked for Facilities back in 1990 she helped me get through some rough times. She will be surely missed. Me and my family send prayers to her and her family.
