What is the environmental impact of actions you take in your office? There are simple things you can do to reduce your impact on the environment and support the Lab in its sustainability goals. Paper is a great example. You can make a difference by printing only when necessary and using both sides of paper. In addition, when you order supplies through eBuy, specify recycled-content paper, re-manufactured toner cartridges, and other sustainable office supplies. Visit the sustainLBL website to learn how to order these green office products and stay tuned for more information on related Earth Day events.
Mother Nature may decide to display her skill at making things wet today, but that won’t dampen the Lab’s Earth Day Fair celebration, which runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. If conditions are dry, the event will take place on the cafeteria lawn and parking lot. If it’s raining, the festivities will move indoors to Perseverance Hall. Stop by and peruse dozens of displays that promote lessening human’s impact on the environment. The fair is brought to you by Carbon Cycle 2.0 and sustainLBL.

See the latest in electric bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, and automobiles (a Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf will be on display). Interested in installing a solar energy system for your house? Want to learn about green chemistry and other sustainable acquisition options? Nearly three-dozen Lab groups and vendors will have their displays on the cafeteria lawn and parking lot from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This event is brought to you by Carbon Cycle 2.0 and sustainLBL.
