The Lab will implement REAL ID requirements for visitors to the Lab beginning in early 2017. REAL ID is a federal initiative that applies to state-issued driver’s licenses and ID cards. The Site Access Office, located in Building 65A, will be open from 8 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 5. The office will return to its normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8. Those needing immediate assistance during this time can call Protective Services (x6160).
At its March 1 and 14 meetings, the Vehicle Access and Alternative Transportation Advisory Group worked on a proposal to increase carpooling incentives, and discussed a new bike-trailer program. Equipment from the Old Town Demo will be removed between 7 a.m. and noon on Jan. 16. During this time, Blackberry Gate, and portions of Cyclotron, Chu, Smoot and McMillan Roads may be shut down.
