The Life of a Lens: Chronicling the Creation of a Single Lens for DESI

This video chronicles the many steps it took to create a single lens for the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI). The lens made stops in Japan, England, and the U.S. (including a couple of layovers at the Lab), before ending its journey at the Kitt Peak Observatory in Arizona. DESI will measure the effect of dark energy on the expansion of the universe.
