EHS’s Ecclesine Participates in Women’s Transcontinental Airplane Race

Amy Ecclesine (left) of the Radiation Protection Group and her flying partner Susan Larson placed 16th in the Air Race Classic held late last month, which started in Maryland and ended 2,700 miles later in New Mexico. The race dates back to the 1929 Women’s Air Derby, in which female pilots, including Amelia Earhart, raced from California to Ohio.
