Windows XP Computers Must Be Upgraded by Sept. 1

Beginning Sept 1, Windows XP and Windows 2000 computers are not allowed on the Lab network. These computers will be immediately blocked from network access.     What about computers that have been “scheduled” for upgrade/replacement but have not yet been taken care of? IT has approved replacement in some cases but they will not meet the Sept. 1 deadline. Are those people cut off (through no fault of their own)?

    ‘Cannot’ or ‘can not’?

    Both cannot and can not are acceptable spellings, but the first is much more usual. You would use can not when the ‘not’ forms part of another construction such as ‘not only’. For example:

    These green industries can not only create more jobs, but also promote sustainable development of the land.
