In honor of Black History Month, KQED along with UC Berkeley’s African American Studies Department and History of Art Undergraduate Association will present “An Afternoon with Basquiat” at UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive on Friday, Feb. 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. A collection of works by the artist (pictured) will be displayed, followed by a panel discussion. Register here. Additionally, the first annual Black History Month celebration in Berkeley will be held this Saturday, Feb. 8, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Berkeley Community Theater.
