Lindsey Sharing Geothermal Expertise in Kenya

Earth Sciences Division’s Nate Lindsey travelled to Nakuru, Kenya, last May as an instructor with the U.S.-East Africa Geothermal Partnership (EAGP). Berkeley Lab and EAGP are developing opportunities for the U.S. geothermal industry to work alongside East African scientists and businesses to bring low-emission forms of electricity to Africans who do not have access to electricity. Lindsey (right, wearing the hat) is one of three U.S. representatives who taught the initial module in a ten-week geothermal training curriculum for young employees of Kenya’s Geothermal Development Corp.
