The Art of Science: Evocative Equipment at the ALS

February 15, 2013

Check out these intriguing images taken by Steve Kessler, who develops business applications for the IT Division. This 18-year employee is also a member of the Lab’s Photo Club, and during a tour of the Advanced Light Source with the group, took various shots of high-vacuum equipment around the ring. “I was wrapped up the “cool tech” look of all the apparatus and how the shapes could come together to draw one’s eye into the image,” Kessler explains.

The link does not seem to link to the images, but only to this story.
    I’m interested in seeing them.

  2. Ross Schaefer says:

The link “intriguing images” does not seem to work- at least for me. No need to post this comment, just wanted to alert you to this.

  3. Steve Wyrick says:

The link appears to be broken?

  4. Lyn says:

sorry folks. not sure what’s going on, as the correct link is in there and is working for me. will continue to look into this to see what’s going on.

  5. Michael Jennings says:

Yeah, the link takes you only to this story, not to any additional pictures.

Also, I imagine what Steve actually said was, “I was rapt of the ‘cool tech’ look…” rather than “wrapped up.” The former makes sense, but the latter does not.
