November 20, 2012

Since 1951, Nobel Prize winners and students in chemistry, physics, and physiology/medicine have met annually in Lindau, Germany. The 2013 meeting will feature recipients of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, with 550 students from more than 70 countries expected to attend the weeklong meeting from June 30 through July 5. The Department of Energy, the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and Mars, Inc., will sponsor a number of graduate students to attend this year’s meeting. Berkeley Lab is invited to nominate up to two grad students — pursuing a degree in chemistry or related discipline — for each of these sponsors.
