Friday Night Football Game To Affect Lab Exits and Shuttles

October 31, 2012

A UC Berkeley football game on Friday will block Centennial Road near the stadium beginning at 3 p.m. and continuing until an hour after the game. Those exiting from the Grizzly and Strawberry Gates must travel uphill during this time. Gayley and Piedmont roads will be closed between Hearst and Channing Way from 4 p.m. to one hour after the game. The Orange shuttle will stop running at 3 p.m. and the Rockridge shuttle will run every 30 minutes starting at Bldg. 66, picking up at Strawberry Gate, 48 Fire House, Guest House and Bldg. 65 before exiting Blackberry Gate for Rockridge Bart. The Blue shuttle will not change but expect delays.

How late will the upper gates (Grizzly and Strawberry) be manned for entry and exit?

It would be very helpful if the article included information on the start and end times of the game, which are not easy for non-football fans to find.

    Thanks,

The football game starts at 6 pm and will end near 9:30 pm. Traffic will be impaired from 3 pm until 10:30 pm. Security will keep Strawberry Gate open until 10:30 pm. Grizzly Gate will close at 7:30 pm.
