Andre Schirotzek of the Advanced Light Source Division will speak at the next Carbon Cycle 2.0 LDRD seminar on Thursday at 2 p.m. in Building 15 Room 253. He will discuss the development of a unique imaging tool for nanoscience, the Nanoscale Surveyor, through which his team has achieved proof-of-principle results at single-digit nanometer resolution using ptychographic imaging techniques. Schirotzek is a postdoctoral fellow at the Advanced Light Source working on coherent diffractive imaging at beamline 9.0.1. He graduated from the University of Hamburg in 2004 and received his PhD from MIT in 2010 in the field of superfluid atomic Fermi gases. More>
