Beginning July 1, the Lab will no longer provide an extra month of insurance coverage for staff who leave Lab employment. Currently, both the Lab and employee pay premiums for an additional month of coverage for all plans except supplemental disability. For example, if an employee leaves Lab employment on June 15, that employee now pays premiums and has coverage through the end of July. Under the new practice, the Lab will no longer deduct a premium payment from an employee’s final paycheck and coverage would end June 30. More>
