There could not be a more staunch fan of Jim’s than I am. Just because I’m his father has nothing to do with that. After all, I’ve known him longer than anyone else. He was always a take charge kind of guy.

He deserves all the plaudits and praise received.

  2. Nancy Padgett says:

When I worked in the Lab Directorate, Jim and I spent many productive hours together working on often thorny and sometimes intractable problems between the Lab and DOE and UC. He was always willing to share his knowledge and wisdom and lend a hand. I was particularly struck by his willingness to coach younger staff–he is a terrific role model. For those of you who have not experienced the benefit of his coaching, quick! Drop by his office before he leaves!

  3. Jim Bustillo says:

Jim was the driving force behind the planning, construction and execution of the Molecular Foundry Project. It was my pleasure to work for and under a man of such impeccable attention to detail and who exemplified the utmost integrity. It was under his tutelage and guidance that we learned the nuances of project management at the Lab and delivered a world-class research facility on time and on budget.

Kudos on a job, and career, well done!
