As science becomes increasingly data-intensive, ESnet is helping research institutions fully capitalize on the growing availability of bandwidth by encouraging them to use a network design model called the “Science DMZ.” The Science DMZ is a specially designed local networking infrastructure aimed at speeding the delivery of scientific data.
