The Lab’s holiday shutdown begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, Facilities will be restarted early on Tuesday, Jan. 3. The shutdown provides significant energy savings. Last year $24,700 was saved. Those who must work during this time must get advance approval. Those needing utility or equipment services should contact their building managers. Before staff leave for the shutdown, they should set back thermostats, shut off non-essential lighting and equipment, and close doors and window.
