Materials Scientists Tev Kuykendall Wins Pumpkin Carving Contest

Tev Kuykendall of the Materials Sciences Division won first place in the Lab pumpkin carving contest, taking a misshapen pumpkin and turning it in a truly gruesome specimen. Second place went to Tim Loew of Engineering for his spot on reproduction of the Jack in the Box restaurant mascot, followed by Chi-Lin Tsai of Life Sciences with her depiction of DNA repair. Kuykendall wins a free night stay at the Guest House and Loew wins lunch for two at the Bay View Café. Both groups sponsored the contest. Click here to see full-size photos of the winners.
